Exhibiting their superiority on the courts St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10 emerged undisputed champions in the Western Province Schools Basketball Tournament as they beat Ananda College Colombo in the final.

The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association after a lapse of three years. The Joes on their way to the finals defeated D.S Senanayake College 48-36 in the preliminaries. In the final round they defeated, Lyceum International School Nugegoda 41-31 (Quarter Finals), Lyceum International School Wattala 43-42 (Semi Finals) and Ananda College (Finals) 67-41
