Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by five wickets in an Under-19 Tri Nations Series match played at the Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Batting first, Sri Lanka totalled 215 in 48 overs with Dinura Kalupahana top scoring with 49 off 82 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries and a six. Other contributors were Malsha Tharupathi 46 off 37 inclusive of 2 boundaries and 3 sixes followed by Hiram Jayasundera 35 off 63 containing 2 boundaries, and Vishwa Rajapaksa 25 off 38 with 2 boundaries. Bangladesh chased down the target reaching 217 for 5 off 47.5 overs steered by a cameo 62 off 32 balls by Ruhit Jeshan Alam topped with 6 boundaries and 4 over the top.
