Presidential scholarship program 2024/25: Colombo district award ceremony on June 19

Recipients of scholarships under the  ‘Presidential Scholarship Program 2024/25 in the Colombo District, will be awarded their  scholarships  at a ceremony to be held at Temple Trees under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, on 19th June.

The ‘Presidential Scholarship Program 2024/25,’ was initiated to  ensure unhindered access to education to students who have excelled in academics and co-curricular pursuits, but are facing economic challenges.

Recipients who qualified for the ‘Presidential Scholarship Program 2024/25′ are to receive Rs 6000 per month for a period of 24 months.

Furthermore, as part of the Presidential Scholarship Program’s initiative to extend scholarships to 100,000 students from grades 1 to 11, those who qualified are  to receive their scholarships, along with any outstanding payments in the coming days.

Scholarship recipients will receive notifications via phone calls and text messages using the contact information provided in their scholarship applications. Further updates will be shared on the official Facebook page of the President’s Fund
