Thilanga to run for cricket presidency

(Srilankamirror) - Former president of Sri Lanka Cricket and MP Thilanga Sumathipala says he will again contest for the top position in the country’s cricket governing body.

He told ‘Srilankamirror’ that there would not be legal or political hurdles against his candidature.

Mr. Sumathipala said cricket in Sri Lanka was facing a crisis right now, and that all should make a concerted effort to overcome the challenges.

The election for SLC, originally scheduled for December 27, has now been put off until January 03.
