(Srilankamirror) - ‘We Are Sri Lankans’ are accusing the government and the military of being responsible for the abduction of Jaffna political activists Lalith Kumar Weeraraju and Kugan Muruganandan.

Convener of the organization Udul Premaratne told journalists in Kotte today (Jan. 01) that if that was not the case, the government should admit that Jaffna was being ruled by some others, and not by the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime.

Mr. Premaratne alleged that in addition to the civilian administration, Jaffna was also having a repressive military rule.

Lalith and Kugan were kidnapped on December 09 by persons in two motorcycles and a white-coloured van, he said, adding that the motorcycle ridden by the two activists was taken to Kopay police station on the same day.
