Range Rover to serve Hill Club tennis as Diamond Sponsor

Range Rover, the iconic British motoring brand will add verve and style to the forthcoming holiday season in ‘Little England’ by sponsoring the 2012 edition of the annual ranking tennis tournament of the Hill Club, Nuwara Eliya.

The tournament is to be worked off from 11th to 15th April at the club’s courts in partnership with Frontier Automotive, Range Rover’s sole agent in Sri Lanka, the event’s Diamond Sponsor for a second successive year.
According to the Hill Club, nearly 100 players are registered to compete in over 15 categories at this year’s tournament.
“Range Rover is pleased to be associated with this colourful event, which has been one of the highlights of the Nuwara Eliya season,” said Sheran Fernando, CEO of Frontier Automotive. “Besides supporting a tournament that is one of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association’s ranking events, this also provides us with an opportunity to display the full range of Range Rover vehicles to a receptive audience.”
He said the Range Rover Evoque, the sensational new SUV on Sri Lanka’s roads, will be one of the vehicles to be featured during the five days of the tournament.
Frontier Automotive (Pvt) Ltd has been the sole representative for Land Rover and Ranger Rover in Sri Lanka since 2003. The company is also the principal sponsor of the rugby team of the Sri Lanka Navy.
