Fonseka’s Secretary to be indicted

The Police have sought court permission to report against Former Army Chief Sarath Fonseka’s Secretary Senaka Silva for soliciting the services of Army deserters knowing it was an illegal act.

This permission was sought by officers of the Colombo Crimes Division. Colombo Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singappuli responding to this request intimated to the Police to make their appeal on the 12th of this month. The Police submitted to Courts that they would file charges against Senaka Silva for soliciting the services of Army deserters illegally during the election period and conspiring against the Government.
