Janarukula provides support to Sri Lanka’s poor women who feel the brunt of poverty, to identify their own problems and to design and implement their own projects and programs to solve these problems to fulfill their own needs.<\/p>\n
Its objectives are:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. To facilitate poor communities to examine and discern the causes of their poverty and to motivate them to set up and implement projects and programs to find solutions to the problems identified.
\n2. To promote the formation of community organizations through participatory development activity to assist them to sustain themselves.
\n3. To promote the linking up of poor communities with government and non-government organizations engaged in poverty alleviation programs.
\n4. To provide relevant training to poor communities to facilitate the exchange of views and experience about ongoing research and documentation.
\n5.
