The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka’s 13th Annual Ambassador’s Ball which was held on 7th May 2011 at the Grand Ball Room, Hilton Colombo was a beaming success.

It has been the tradition to donate part-proceeds of the Ambassador’s Ball to an identified charity of the Ambassador’s choice. This year the donation was made to Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society which was established to help reverse the trends that were threatening Sri Lanka’s wildlife. Emphasis in Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society is given to the Elephants who continue to be the animal most affected by activities such as rapid human migration and clearing of the remaining forest cover.
The US Ambassador, Patricia A Butenis made this donation at an AmCham Networking event held on 8th September 2011 at the French Village, Hilton Colombo. Ravi Corea, President of the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society received this donation on behalf of the Society. Distinguished Guests, Sponsors of the 13th Ambassador’s Ball, Invitees and members of AmCham were present at this occasion.
