In a strategic move to establish its new holding company status, CIC Holdings PLC, formerly known as Chemical Industries (Colombo) PLC, unveils its dynamic re-branding with a fresh new brand identity that reflects the renewed aspirations of the company. The rapid diversification CIC Holdings PLC has undergone in the past few years called for a new brand identity that aptly reflects the diverse nature of the group.
This new branding will serve to rejuvenate the brand identities of its diverse businesses.
The distinctive new logo consists of two hands in blue nurturing a growing plant, underscored by the company’s motto – ‘nurturing lives’.
The new brand identity also brings out the brand essence of CIC as an ethical company that adds value through its ability to use the richness of the soil, indigenous resources and talent to uplift the community.
The image inspires brand values of pride, togetherness, caring, ambitious, innovation and a down-to-earth approach to business. As always, the CIC brand’s core unique proposition endures to touch the lives of people across the country by improving their quality of life through health, nutrition and livelihood.
The newly conceptualised logo symbolises the sustainable operations and high standards maintained by the company, thereby adding value across the entire group.

CIC Holdings PLC Managing Director/CEO Samantha Ranatunga commented: “The company’s policy of strategically planned growth has resulted in its diversification into a number of fields such as agriculture, animal feeds, healthcare and consumer products.
CIC today represents a large number of world-renowned principals, and has established a number of manufacturing facilities and distribution points across the country.
This re-branding exercise will serve to infuse new awareness of the CIC brand and its diversified business interests that nurture life.
We believe that we are a truly unique company that touches lives across the country, nurturing the individuals and the country in the process.”
CIC is present in diverse sectors. In the field of agri business, CIC provides fertilizer, seed, crop protection products, planting material, agricultural machinery and advisory services – its CIC Pohora and CIC Seeds brands are reputed islandwide.
The company also produces fresh fruit and vegetables, its Fresheez and Juiceez outlets growing in popularity.
In the animal feed sector, CIC manufactures poultry, dairy and swine feed, under the CIC Feeds brand, while also being present in the veterinary care sector.
Further, CIC has grown to be one of the leading players in the healthcare segment, providing pharmaceutical, surgical and diagnostic products.
