As the first TV channel in the country with a 32 year record the ITN is prepared to enter the 33rd year as the leading channel that has won the maximum confidence of the people. Our viewers have bestowed this honour on ITN by selecting it to be the most popular channel at every award ceremony. During the People’s Awards Night held in March last year, ITN received the award presented to the National Youth Channel and the People’s Channel of the Year. This confidence was strengthened at the Raigam Tele Awards Ceremony held in May. ITN won the awards for the best news reader, most popular tele- drama, most popular actor and actress amongst other awards.
At the Sumathi Tele awards ceremony held in November, the News programmes of ITN were felicitated with awards for their Excellency and popularity. ITN received awards in the best news reader category, and as the channel that introduced the most popular tele-drama, most popular actor and actress and for the most popular channel.
ITN is one of the leading government sector media organizations. During the business excellence awards ceremony held last year ITN was awarded the business excellence award. At the SLIM NASCO awards ceremony held last year the marketing award was won by the ITN Marketing Division. ITN has won the highest number of awards in a single year.
