A South Carolina woman charged with murder in the death of a man three years ago has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

The Morning News of Florence reported Tuesday that 49-year-old Jacqueline Highberger of Myrtle Beach pleaded guilty in Chesterfield to failure to report a crime.

Prosecutor Kernard Redmond says Highberger was sentenced to six years in prison.

The body of 52-year-old Thomas Turner Sartor of Myrtle Beach was found in 2007 Chesterfield County, buried beneath an artificial Christmas tree.

Sartor had last been seen umpiring a baseball game in Spartanburg.
