Norlanka, one of Sri Lanka’s largest sustainable exporters of baby and kids wear, has unveiled its brand-new corporate logo.

The new logo includes three key elements –the ‘NL’ symbol, the company name in capital letters and the tagline that encapsulates the brand identity of Norlanka. The logo retains the previous brand colors red and black, symbolizing the company’s inherent strength and passion for the outstanding work it does in the industry as one of Sri Lanka’s leading apparel solution providers. The colors also signify the strength Norlanka derives from its parent company, PDS Limited, which is widely known to be a giant in the global apparel industry.

Norlanka business operations focus on sourcing, designing, and manufacturing to cater to a number of international brands and retailers. The Norlanka brand identity reveals what it stands for: Responsible Sourcing, Design, and Innovation. ‘Responsible Sourcing’ is all about carefully selecting only ethical and sustainable manufacturers, sourcing eco-friendly raw materials, focusing on the highest quality standards and adhering to mandatory compliance levels. ‘Design’ touches upon Norlanka’s ability to create world-class apparel designs by using the latest market trends and bringing in state-of-the-art technology such as digital design expertise. ‘Innovation’ relates to the company’s continued commitment towards both product and process innovation with the aim of delivering excellence to its clientele.

Expressing his views on the new identity and the future of Norlanka, Buddhi Paranamana – Chief Innovation Officer of Norlanka stated, “Within the past 10 years, Norlanka has been able to carve out a unique position for itself in the industry and its brand influence has continued to grow. The new branding marks the launch of a new era in the company’s journey. We wanted to further emphasize our unique identity that signifies what we stand for within the industry here in Sri Lanka as well as globally. We are gearing towards creating global awareness as a progressive, innovative, and future-ready company. With this new look, we want to portray to our valued customers and partners that the NL Platform is focused and ready for change that is necessary to cater to complex, evolving needs by driving Reliability, Credibility, Agility and Sustainability. This will be achieved through a strong foundation of Data, Process and Automation.”

Norlanka is proud of its Sri Lankan roots where it works with over 35 partner factories across Sri Lanka. Looking ahead to the future, Norlanka plans to expand its operations both in Sri Lanka and globally. The company already handles B2C operations in India and Middle East, with plans to expand to Southeast Asia in 2023. It also hopes to expand their B2B operations in India, Bangladesh and Africa in the year 2023.

Norlanka is a confluent apparel solutions provider for over 20 international fashion brands and retailers and works closely with partner factories across Sri Lanka. These factories help ship 20 million garments a year, making the company one of Sri Lanka’s largest sustainable exporters of baby and kids wear while the company’s diverse product portfolio also consists of active wear, casual wear, and athleisure. Its global clients include Primark, Matalan, Walmart, Superdry, George and many others.
