Three-wheelers can pump fuel only from registered fuel station

Three-wheelers will be allowed to pump fuel only from their registered fuel station with effect from 1st August.

Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that three-wheel users have been requested to register their three-wheels at their respective area Police station and to nominate 1 fuel station before the 31st of July.

He said that from the 1st of August three-wheel will only be allowed to obtain fuel from the their registered fuel station.

The Minister also requested all users of garden equipment, generators and other equipment requiring fuel to register their requirements in their respective Divisional Secretariats with their weekly fuel requirements and to nominate 1 fuel station to obtain their requirement.

Motorists who cannot register with the chassis number will be able to register with the revenue license from Friday.

Users of 49CC bikes have to register with the Department of Motor Traffic to obtain their licenses and register for the national fuel pass. (Colombo Gazette)
