Sri Lanka shares edge up in mid-day trade
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s equity market shares marginally moved up in mid-day trade after slipping for three sessions, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.
The main All Share Price Index rose at a slower pace gaining 0.08 percent or 5.89 points to 7,636.06 at 1130 hours.
The most liquid index S&P SL20 moved 0.13 percent or 3.17 points to 2,421.88.
Meanwhile, the market generated a turnover of 691 million rupees, comparatively a higher turnover generated in the first hour in the previous sessions.
Top gainers were Malwatte Valley Plantations, Teejay Lanka and Sampath Bank. (Colombo/July27/2022)
