Sri Lanka raises Rs.87.5 bln via T-bills; yields fall
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka raised 87.5 billion rupees via Treasury bills with yields across maturities fell with most of the money was accepted from 3-month bills, data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office sold 62.4 billion rupees in 3-month bills at 27.72 percent, 114 basis points down from the last week auction. It offered 35 billion rupee worth of securities.
It raised 10 billion rupees in 6-month bills at a yield of 28.97 percent, 27 basis points down from the last week’s auction. It offered 27.5 billion rupee worth of securities.
The state debt office raised 15 billion rupees in 12-month T-bills at 29.19 percent, 34 basis points down from the last week auction. It offered 25 billion rupee worth of securities for the Wednesday’s auction.
The debt office offered 87.5 billion rupees of bills and raised the amount from the auction with all the maturities were oversubscribed. (Colombo/Aug 03/2022)
