Malnutrition: Govt. rejects UNICEF assessment

The Health Ministry has denied UNICEF declaration pertaining to a significant increase in malnutrition among children here.

Health Secretary, Janaka Sri Chandragupta, yesterday told the media that the UNICEF survey, based on faulty data, couldn’t be accepted.

Chandragupta challenged the findings of the survey on the basis of a study conducted by the Ministry in 2021.

The official said that the government had recently briefed UNICEF in that regard. (SF)
