Sri Lanka in talks with Petro-China International over payment arrears
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said he had discussions with visiting officials of Petro China group over payment arrears and future supplies.
“Met with the visiting VP of PetroChina, MD – PetroChina International & officers of the PetroChina group to discuss outstanding payments, repayment plans & continuation of supply to CPC,” he said in a twitter.com message.
“PetroChina has a 10-year relationship with CPC & has been one of the largest suppliers.”
Sri Lanka has earlier said state-run Ceylon Petroleum Corporation owed around 800 million US dollars to foreign suppliers for fuel. (Colombo/Oct02/2022)
