Sri Lanka shares plunge in mid-day trade on Lanka IOC, Expolanka
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka shares fell over 2 percent in mid-day trade on Tuesday (04) dragged down by heavy weight on falling freight rates globally and the revision of fuel prices in the domestic market, dealers said.
The main All Share Price Index plunged 2.71 percent or 261.54 points to 9,388 at 1130 hours.
Most liquid index down 3.82 percent or 116.46 points to 2,932.
Market generated a turnover of 3 billion rupees.
