The finals of the 29th Sri Lanka Schools Netball Championship is scheduled to commence on October 16 at the Dadalla Grounds, Galle. Organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, this much-awaited fixture in the school netball calendar is sponsored by Nestlé MILO in its journey of developing grass root talent in Sri Lanka. As a brand that nourishes children to go further, Nestlé MILO has consistently supported the championship since its inception 29 years ago.

This highly anticipated event, being conducted after a lapse of more than two years with the last championship taking place in 2019, is expected to draw a participation of almost 4000 school players.

The preliminary matches of the championship consisting of two divisions (A and B division) are conducted under four age groups. They are Under 13 (participants born in 2011 and 2010), · Under 15 (born in 2009 and 2008), Under 17 (born in 2007 and 2006) and Under 19 (born in 2005 and 2004).

In the ‘A’ Division, six teams from the Under 13 age category and four teams each from the Under 15, 17 and 19 age categories will advance to the finals.

In the ‘B’ Division, tow teams each from the Under 15, 17, and 19 will advance to the finals.
