Dambulla, chasing 199 to win, was comfortably placed on 154 for 4 against Jaffna at stumps on the third day of their 4-day Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League 2023 match at the SSC Grounds on Friday. Leading the run chase was Minod Bhanuka who went on to compile his second half century of the match scoring a fluent 55 off 61 fine edged by 9 boundaries. Jaffna’s batsmen did atone for the 62-run first innings debacle with a much improved performance totalling 349 on Ravindu Fernando’s 64 and Madawa Warnapura 45 ,, but it was still not sufficient to offset the conceded 51-run first innings lead
