SL Women kick off campaign with warm-up match against Ireland tomorrow

ICC WOMEN’S T20 WORLD CUP 2023:

The Sri Lanka Women’s Team will kick off its ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 campaign in South Africa with a warm up match against Ireland at University 1 Grounds, Stellenbosch at 1.30 Sri Lanka time. It will be followed up with a second warm up fixture against the West Indies on February 8 at the WPCC, Cape Town at 6 p m.

Skippered by Chamari Athapaththu, the youthful Lankan team will get into the thick of the tournament when they play four Groups Stage matches when they take on hosts South Africa on February 10 at Newlands, Cape Town at 10.30 p.m. the rest of the Group Stage matches Sri Lanka Women are drawn up will be against Bangladesh on February 12 at Newlands, Cape Town at at 10.30 p.m., vs Australia on February 16 at St. George’s Park, Goeberha at 6.30 p.m., and vs New Zealand on February 19 at Boland Park at 6.30 p.m.
