England Lions scored 234 for 3 wickets at stumps on the second day of the second unofficial Test match on Wednesday against Sri Lanka A whose opening batsman Lasith Croospulle took the honours on the opening day with a brilliant 124 off 136 balls fine edged with 16 boundaries and 3 sixes at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.

Croospulle, the 24-year old right hander, who scored a century against England Lions in the warm up game, indeed took his career to a new level by his double century strikes at international level. Born Dian Lasith Shenon Croospulle on October 4, 1998 it was a career fulfilment in a big leap from the domestic firmament to launching himself for greater recognition on the big stage.

England Lions cut through the Lankan total just 98 runs away from going ahead with a commanding 7 wickets intact through a breathtakingly unbeaten cameo 56-ball 86 by Jamie Smith who plundered 10 boundaries and 3 over the top and opening batsman Alex Lees who. was unbeaten on 75 off 82 inclusive of 8 boundaries. Josh Bohannon added the tempo in a 62-balls l 54 containing 9 boundaries.
