All-rounder Ashan Priyanjan came tops with the ball claiming career best figures of 6 for 20 as Dambulla won handsomely over Colombo by 6 wickets in the week-end Sri Lanka National Super League 2023 Limited Overs Tournament match played at the SSC Grounds. Having dismissed Colombo for 140 in 38 overs, Dambulla got home on 148 for 4 anchored by Pawan Rathnayake who made a run a ball 51 hitting 7 boundaries and a six.
Meanwhile, Galle edged out Jaffna by one wicket in the other fixture played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Galle did well to go past Jaffna’s formidable 246 for 7 in the allotted 50 overs with Pasindu Sooriyabandara and Pathum Mahesh Kumara hitting half centuries.
