The STF arrested two suspected gangsters in the Midigama, Ahangama and in Grandpass police areas over the weekend.

Police said that the 32-year-old suspect arrested at Ahangama was a member of a gang led by Nadun Chinthaka Wickremaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’ who was brought to Colombo recently after being arrested in Madagascar.

When the police swooped down on the Midigama hideout of Harak Kata’s accomplice, he had in his procession 15 mg of heroin.

The 40-year-old other suspect arrested at Grandpass was described as a close associate of drug dealer Prince Collam.
