Sri Lanka Under-19 lost to Afghanistan Under-19 by 50 runs in a Tri Nations Series encounter played at the Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi during the week-end. Chasing Afgnaistan’s 232, the Lankans skipper Shevon Daniel struck 67 off 61 inclusive of 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Afghanistan’s Kahlel Ahmad took 5 for 34.

Afghanistan’s innings was propelled by half centuries by Wafiullah Stanikzai 68 off 50 balls inclusive of 5 sixes and 6 boundaries and Numan Shah 64 off 66 containing 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. Sri Lanka’s Malsha Tharupathi returned figures of 4 for 31.
