SJB calls for sacking of SLC management
Cricket in the country has collapsed due to mismanagement by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials, says Chief Executive of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Ajith P. Perera.
Commenting on the disastrous showing by the national team at the ICC World Cup, Perera said: “There is high level corruption in the SLC. Mismanagement and corruption are the main reasons why cricket has suffered a severe setback here,” he said.
Perera added that Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe should dissolve the SLC using his powers.
“Everyone in the SLC are businessmen. They just want to make money,” he said.
