SL team for T20 World Cup named
Angelo Mathews has been named captain of the Sri Lankan team for the T20 World Cup that starts in India Lasith Malinga stepped down as captain of T20 team due to a troublesome left knee. His participation in the T20 World Cup is also doubtful. Dinesh Chndimal has been named vice-captain.
Sri Lanka have made two changes in their squad. Lahiru Thirimanne and Suranga Lakmal have replaced leg-spinner Jeffery Vandersay and keeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella. The team selected by the new panel of selecters for the T20 world cup is Angelo Mathews (capt), Dushmantha Chameera, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Rangana Herath, Shehan Jayasuriya, Chamara Kapugedera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Thisara Perera, Sachithra Senanayake, Dasun Shanaka, Milinda Siriwardana, Suranga Lakmal.
