Mourinho confirmed as Manchester United manager
Former Chelsea manager,Jose Mourinho has been officially confirmed as Manchester United manager and has signed a three-year contract in replacement of Dutchman, Louis Van Gaal.
The new appointment was being pushed during the recent past but the move to Manchester United was dogged by the fact that Chelsea had trademarked his name and still held the rights
United’s decision comes following a major shift in the club with Van Gaal’s dismissive performance during this season. Old Trafford lost its legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who at the the time of retirement had made sure Manchester had 20 league titles at the end of his stint and has seemingly not recovered from the loss. The Red Devils scratched through the season finishing 5th in the Premier league alongside a season ending win against Crystal Palace to clinch their 12th FA Cup
Mourinho was also the victim of appalling season after being sacked from Chelsea after the Blues struggled at the start to find momentum under his watch and had to finish struggling to a devastating 10th place.
But the traumatizing season does not speak for the coach who led Chelsea to a dominating season last year alongside his first campaign at Stamford Bridge in 2004/05 where Chelsea won their first top-flight title for 50 years with a record haul of 95 points. They retained the Barclays Premier League title a year later and won the FA Cup and the League Cup twice with Mourinho in charge

Mourinho got the chance to become a top-tier manager in September 2000 when he moved up from his role as assistant manager at Lisbon side Benfica to replace manager Jupp Heynckes after the fourth week of the Primeira Liga
With rumors of 45 million pound transactions in the air, Old Trafford is well aware of the Portugese 53 year-old’s track record. Manchester and Chelsea were at each other heels during the time of Mourinho and he has always been on the Rival side of Fergeurson’s Old Trafford boys and the move sparks up the emotions in all football fans.
