The Provincial High Court of Civil Appeal today, ordered that the North Central Province Chief Minister, Governor, provincial ministers, secretaries to the provincial ministries, and the Chief Secretary of the Provincial Council appear before Court tomorrow.

The order was issued after taking into consideration a petition filed over the alleged abuse of state funds through breach of tender procedure and awarding contracts based on political bias.

North Central Branch Chairman of the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka, GB Lohitharatne filed the Petition.

The petitioner alleged that the respondents had violated the tender procedures of the North Central Provincial Council and State tender procedure, and that state construction contracts have been awarded to persons based on political affiliation.

The Petitioner pointed out that the allegations can be proved during the hearing of the case.
