Investigations commence into Bambalapitiya abduction

Seven police teams,  led by the Colombo Crimes Division, have begun investigations into the abduction of a businessman from Bambalapitiya.

Our News 1st correspondent Omaya Kovilagodage stated that the 29-year-old businessman Suleiman, who lives down Kothalawala Avenue in Bambalapitiya was abducted on Monday night. It has been three days since he was reported missing.

Shakeed Suleiman, the victim of the abduction, is engaged in the importation and distribution of garments from China and Indonesia. He engaged in the trade together with his father.

Police said that the abducted victim had filed several cases against other businesses with the Colombo Crimes Division and the Criminal Investigations Department with regard to acts of fraud.
