SLTB employees sign petition demanding solutions
The All Ceylon Transport employees Union launched a campaign to sign a petition demanding the President and transport authorities to find immediate solutions for several burning issues of SLTB employees. The campaign commenced from Colombo Fort Bus Stand today (18th) at 10.00 a.m.
The employees demand authorities to stop the restructuring process that would destroy the SLTB as well as the promotions, transfers, suspensions, sacking of employees that are carried out within the SLTB whenever a government changes. They demand a comprehensive national policy for the SLTB.
They demand the authorities to make available to the head office of the SLTB the EPF account maintained by the head office of the SLTB but was illegally and unethically taken over, with the mediation of former Minister of Labour Gamini Lokuge to the Labour Department.
