THANAMALVILA

Hambegamuwa

Clean Drinking Water project – For many years the Diyawara village was plagued with chronic kidney disease due to the lack of clean drinking water. On Tuesday, October 19, the Gammadda 100 days initiative and Sri Lanka Navy took steps to put an end to the misery faced by the people of Hambegamuwa.

The People’s Verdict

“We are against those who send out letters of demand. No government official has done anything for us. It is the Sirasa Media organisation together with the Sri lanka Navy that took steps to construct this water project. As villagers we are not afraid of anything, we are with Sirasa and the Sri Lanka Navy”

“You should not be afraid of what you are undertaking. We know very well that you have done a lot of work for us. What we see is that there are people who try to prevent such good deeds from being done ..”
