Sahan Suraweera cracked his fourth century of the school cricket season to propel Ananda College, Colombo to an innings and 104-runwin over Trinity College, Kandy at Pallekelle during the week-end. It was Asela Sigera who starred with the ball with a match haul of 9 for 63 including 6 for 39 in the second innings to rout Trinity. Suraweera struck 121 in an Ananda total of 336 for 6 declared before Sigera did the damage with the ball with Trinity being shot out for 102 and 127.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota, DS Senanayake College, Colombo and Sri Rahula, Katugastota were the other schools to round off the week on a winning note. St. Anthony’s beat Carey College, Colombo by an innings and 256 runs while DSS beat Zahira College, Colombo by 4 wickets. For the Antonians opener Sunera Jayasinghe cracked 161 off 182 balls inclusive of 24 boundaries while Sandaruwan Dharmaratne had a match haul of 13 wickets with 6 and 7 respectively wickets and to rout Carey for 58 and 56.
