Professional Met Consu-ltancy Services (Pvt.) Ltd. has been awarded Sri Lanka National best Energy Services Company award for the second consecutive year 2012 at the Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency award ceremony held on 19 August at Colombo Hilton Hotel.

The award was presented by Minister of Power and Energy in the presence of Minister of Economic Development and Minister of Environmental and Natural resources.
Professional Met Consultancy Services (Pvt.) Ltd has been actively engaged in the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Bio-mass projects utilising indigenous fuels (Fired Wood, Saw Dust, Paddy Husk, etc.) to alternate imported fossil fuel used in the Industries in Sri Lanka.
By implementing bio-mass projects by this company the usage of imported fuel is reduced by 21 million litres and saves Rs. 2 billion in foreign exchange per year for the country.  In addition the company conducts training programs, workshops and awareness programmes on energy saving and energy conservation and energy management for engineers, technicians and other officials in the industrial sector in the country through their training centre.The main areas of business/activities of this company are Turnkey Projects of Bio-mass Boilers, Thermic and hot water Heaters, Bio-mass Power Plants, all types of Pollution Control Plants, Energy audits, training programmes for Energy conservation, turnkey LED and Solar lighting systems, Supplying of all types of flow meters, flue gas analysers, industrial pumps, heat exchangers etc.
M.A. Justin who is a Very Senior Chartered Engineer is the Chairman/Managing Director of the company. He was engaged in Energy saving activities for many years. He was the former President of Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association for two consecutive years and former General Manager of National Paper Co. Ltd, which won productivity awards for creditable performance for two consecutive years during his tenure.
