Badminton: Nalanda win All-Island Division ‘A’ championship
(July 20, Sunday Times) Nalanda College, Colombo emerged champions in the Division ‘A’ of the All-Island Inter School Badminton tournament 2014 organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association which concluded at the Royal College, Badminton Complex.
Nalanda was given a tough time in the semi-finals by Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda who went down fighting to concede a 2-3 win and in the finals when Nalanda met St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota the lads from Colombo scored an easy 3-1 win to be crowned as the 2014 A Division winners.
