Several spells of showers in sea areas
The Met Dept. weather forecasts for next 24 hours staes showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo.
Winds will be Southwesterly and the speed will be 20-40 kmph. The winds can strengthen up to 50kmph at times.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil(southeastern sea areas) and from Puttalam to Kankesanthurai via Mannar will be rough at times as winds can strengthen up to 60kmph at times. Other sea areas around the island may be fairly rough at times.
