The 12th POWER Sri Lanka 2014 International Expo featuring power generation and transmission, aAlternative power, solar power, and energy and renewable energy sectors will be held from 25 to 27 September at Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC).
Organised by CEMS-Global – Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd., USA & CEMS Lanka the expo will have 200 booths featuring foreign and local firms. Over 3,000 people, besides the exhibitors from over 10 countries, are expected to attend the events.

CEMS Lanka Country Director Ejas Sarwar said the exhibition would bring together under one roof of all stakeholders in the power and energy industry under B2B platform.
“The 12th POWER Sri Lanka 2014 International Expo will bring world-class technology which would be beneficial to upgrade the power and energy sector. It will be the perfect B2B platform for the entire power and energy industry of Sri Lanka. The stakeholders who attend will get the opportunity to see the latest technologies and innovations in the power generation and energy sector thus delivering a great networking opportunity,” Sarwar said.
“It is a unique opportunity with a rapidly developing industry sector where investments on the rise with new industrialisation making Sri Lanka a very important business destination in South Asia,” he added.
CEMS Lanka said the Government is also seeking new technology for power generation which would take a big load off our existing reserves used for generation.
For the first time there will be an interactive forum on 26 September parallel to the exhibition. This forum will bring together power and energy industry leaders as well as the policy makers among others, CEMS Lanka said.
It said Sri Lanka has a tremendous potential and with the Government’s goal and vision for 2020 in the power and energy sector. “If a proper reform, strategy, coordinated effort and plan are adopted at the earliest by Sri Lanka; the country can set new dimensions in the long run which can be only possible by a combined effort of the power and energy industry sector itself with joint discussion,” CEMS Lanka said.
