AMW launches roadside assistance program

AMW will launch a revolutionary roadside assistance service at the Colombo Motor Show held from 16 to 19 October. This new service aims to provide peace of mind to thousands of motorists over a wide spectrum of vehicle bases.
Associated Motorways Ltd is the leading player in the automotive sector and is perfectly poised to launch such a revolutionary service. With access to an extensive roadside assistance fleet, members of this new road side assistance service will never be left stranded again.
Although traditionally this service has only been offered to owners of AMW sold cars such as Nissan and Suzuki, this new service has been designed to encompass any and all Passenger Car, Sports Utility Vehicle and Dual Purpose Vehicle owners, regardless of what make and model their vehicle is. This will no doubt shake up the industry, which until today has not seen a single service provider extend its services to all vehicle brands.
AMW’s professionally managed roadside assistance service will be on par with leading international breakdown assistance providers and will ensure peace of mind to all, especially those who may not have the time, or technical know-how to carry out emergency repairs and unexpected fixes on the go.
This service will also be of great benefit to the growing segment of lady drivers, who are now guaranteed a safe and trusted service to turn to when any unforeseen vehicle trouble crops up. Initially covering the Western Province, AMW’s roadside assistance will soon be expanded to encompass the rest of the island, meaning no matter where you may be, drivers are poised to benefit from this innovative and timely service.
Just some of the services extended to members will include an unlimited technical advice hotline staffed by trained technicians, tyre changing assistance in the event of a puncture, dead battery assistance and jump starting and emergency fuel delivery.
Minor mechanical repairs can also be performed by the specialised breakdown mechanics, to get you on your way again, whilst a locksmith service is provided in the event that you’re locked out of your car. Members will also benefit from a Breakdown Towing Service & Breakdown Flatbed Carrier Service to ensure that their pride and joy will always be in safe hands.
Established in 1949, AMW is a highly respected company in Sri Lanka with 65 years of experience. AMW’s core business sectors are tyre retreading, automotive sales and after-sales services, lubricants, batteries & tyres and financial services (leasing, hire purchase). In July 2008, Associated Motorways Ltd. came under the management expertise of Al-Futtaim Engineering (AFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Al-Futtaim Group. AMW is without a doubt the leader in the local automotive sector, and their new Roadside Assistance program is the latest in a long line of valuable addition to vehicle owners.
