Survey on loss properties and lands of people in Northern Province
The Ministry of Defence and Urban Development has taken steps to conduct a survey on Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims who lost their properties and land in the Northern Province from 1980 due to terrorism, the Ministry stated in a press release.
 
According to the release, All Sri Lankan citizens who have lost their property and land are requested to submit details and forward such information to the Defence and Urban Development Ministry at 15/5, Baladaksha Mawatha, Colombo 3.
 
 
The name, address, telephone/email address, Grama Seva/Divisional Secretary’s Division and the district of the complainant along with the details of the land such as address, names of the occupants, year of dispossession/displacement, Grama Seva/Divisional Secretary’s Division and the photocopies of the supporting documents if any should be submitted.
 
 
The release added that complaints from property/land issues settled will not be accepted.(ST/KH)
