The loss from Sri Lankan Air and Mihin Lanka recorded as over Rs 55 billion for 1 1/2 years
The Minister of Civil Aviation Priyankara Jayaratne has tabled in parliament that the losses incurred by the Sri Lankan air and Mihin Lanka have been over rupees 55,000 million for the period January 2013 to June 2014.the loss of Sri Lankan Air had been rupees 51029 million while Mihin Lanka’s loss had been rupees 4175.2 million.The board of directors of Sri Lankan air lines have approved the proposal to sell six Air buses of the makes A 300/A 330 and purchase 10 new air buses the Minister had told the house.
