ETA Melco to hold fourth global business strategic meeting in Sri Lanka

ETA Melco, the global giant of providing end-to-end solutions for vertical transportation requirement, is holding its fourth global business strategic meeting this year in Sri Lanka. The event will take place from 28 January to 1 February at Anantaya Resort & Spa in Chilaw.
Representatives including the management, functional heads and branch heads of the global network of ETA Melco will be heading their way to Sri Lanka with a view to reviewing their current business performances in each market and laying out action plans necessary to ensure business success in year 2015. As such, a well-rounded review is to be made during the global meet-up next week on sales, financial performances, profitability, product elements and service delivery etc. to formulate effective plans to stay ahead in business amidst increasing demands in the global context.
ETA Melco Engineering Ltd Sri Lanka and Maldives Director/General Manager A.S.M. Zareer commenting about the event said, “ETA Melco global business strategic meeting is a very important event in our business calendar as it brings all responsible in our global network to a common platform to discuss situations and issues specific to each market and arrive at next year’s plans to take the business forward.”
He further said that ETA Melco – Sri Lanka is happy and privileged to host the event in Sri Lanka this year for the first time, especially in a situation where they have achieved and exceeded the 2014 targets set for Sri Lanka successfully.
ETA Melco, headquartered in Dubai, is a joint venture with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, the largest elevator and escalator manufacturers in Japan and it works with a key business interest of supplying, installing, maintaining, repairing and modernising of Mitsubishi elevators, escalators, auto-walks and moving walks that are specifically designed with power regenerative mechanisms to optimising power savings for a greener tomorrow.
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s technology and innovation drive, which is second to none, has become the key for ETA Melco to consolidate markets in which it operates. At present, it is a global giant with over 5,000 employees working across 24 countries including Gulf, African and CSI countries as well as South Asian countries including Sri Lanka.
ETA Melco commenced operation in Sri Lanka in 1983 and is a business with over 250 employees at present including 35 qualified, factory trained engineers and over 200 technical officers to ensure quality, safety, maintenance and proper installation of their products. ETA Melco – Sri Lanka has successfully sold over 3,000 elevators so far to its Sri Lankan clientele.
On-320, Cinnamon Red, Dialog Axiata and Sri Lanka Customs are amongst its recently completed projects. BOC headquarters, Lanka Hospitals and Cinnamon Lakeside are amongst other landmark projects completed by ETA Melco while Personal Identification Department in Battaramulla, Shangri-La-Hambantota and Move-n-Pick Hotel are a few projects to be completed soon.
ETA Melco is the first to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certification in the industry with a view to emphasising its focus on safety, quality and service and its fully-fledged training centre affiliated to NAITA, is an authorised institute to issue NVQ 3 & 4 certifications in Sri Lanka.
