Peterites edge out Isipathana to clinch School Sevens

St. Peter’s College Colombo edged defending Under 20 School Rugby Sevens champions Isipathana 7-5 to claim the School Sevens tournament title last evening at the Royal Sports Complex.
At the break Isipathana led 5-0. The game was played at a rapid pace and at times it turned out to be a physical battle as well. The encounter was refereed by Dinka Peiris.
In the two semifinals Isipathana edged out the Thomians 14-12 while the Peterites had an easy outing against Trinity, winning 21-5.
