Ran Bhumi Rally for Unity reaches Nuwara Eliya
The Ran Bhumi Rally for Unity, which is travelling across the country spreading the message of peace and co-existence, has reached Nuwara Eliya, which is one of the most scenic areas of Sri Lanka.
The rally is organized by the MTV/ MBC Networks, News 1st, the Colombo Port City Project and the National Youth Services Council. The rally will make a stop for today in Welimada.
The Ran Bhumi Rally for Unity, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka voicing the pride of the country, reached Hatton today, marking its 61st stop on the journey across the island.
Schoolchildren and locals gathered in numbers on either side of the road to welcome the Ran Bhumi Rally for Unity.
A warm welcome was extended to the rally upon its arrival and a ceremony organized by the locals added more color.
After religious observances, the block engraved with the name of ‘Hatton’ was placed on the special float. Amidst the blessings of the people of Hatton, the Ran Bhumi Rally for Unity commenced its journey to the scenic area of Nuwara Eliya.
Large numbers were present to welcome the rally to Nuwara Eliya.
