Maria De Los Angeles “Angela” Guevara de Rodriguez, 70, Elkhart, formerly of New Paris, died 12:07 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at Goshen Hospital. She was born July 31, 1950, in McAllen, Texas, to Manuel and Aurora (Juarez) Guevara. On April 29, 2017, she married Fermin Rodriguez.
Surviving are her husband, Fermin, Goshen, daughter, Becky Perez, Elkhart, step-children, Mari Cruz Rodriguez, Aguascalientes, Mexico, Juan Fermin Rodriguez, Goshen, Alicia Rodriguez, Goshen, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Elkhart, Zulma Rodriguez, Goshen, Sandra Rodriguez, Goshen, Siomara Rodriguez, Goshen, Leobardo B. Rodriguez, Elkhart, 2 grandchildren, Bianca J. Chagoya, Fort Wayne, Angelica A. Chagoya, New York, New York, 24 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, siblings, Pedro Guevara, New Paris, Gracie Guervara Mingucha, Goshen and Dave Guevara, Indianapolis.
Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters, Josephina Morales, Maria J. Guevara, Aurora Guevara and a granddaughter, Victoria Jasmeen Chagoya.
Maria worked for SmokerCraft, New Paris, Culver Duck Farms, Middlebury and retired from Kinro, Goshen. She attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen and Prairie Street Mennonite Church, Elkhart.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, with a private service following at 4 p.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
All those in attendance will be required to follow COVID 19 guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing. Deacon Christian Nieves and Pastor Quinn Brenneke will officiate.
