Statewide Silver Alert Declared For Columbia City Teen

COLUMBIA CITY — A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared for a teen from Columbia City.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of Madaya Schuman, a 17-year-old white female who is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 145 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Madaya was last seen in a beige 2001 Buick LeSabre with Indiana plate 825DGY. She is believed to be in the company of Geddy Hopkins, a 28-year-old white man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Madaya is also believed to be in the company of an unidentified Hispanic man.
Madaya is missing from Columbia City and was last seen at 2:47 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
