Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:09 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, East Levi Lee Road west of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Nanette L. Hapner, 53, Chinworth Court D, Warsaw. Hapner was traveling eastbound on Levi Lee Road near the intersection of North CR 100E when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 7:18 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, North CR 150W north of North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Carey S. Slone, 43, South CR 700W, Mentone. Slone was traveling northbound on North CR 150W north of North Fox Farm Road when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:47 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, South SR 15 north of Dawn Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Larry L. Markham, 76, South 10th Street, Goshen. Markham was traveling northbound on South SR 15 near Dawn Drive when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, CR 150W south of Executive Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Emily E. Gibson, 31, North Union Street, Warsaw. Gibson was traveling southbound on CR 150W when her vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:52 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, North SR 15 and East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Eugene S. Darke, 91, North Midlake Drive, North Webster; and James L. Adkins, 30, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Darke was traveling northbound on North Detroit Street pulling a trailer with his vehicle. He started to turn left and didn’t see Adkins’ vehicle approaching. Darke’s trailer and Adkins’ vehicle collided. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 9:31 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, Wooster Road east of Elder Lane, Winona Lake. Drivers: Thomas R. Miller, 82, Wooster Road, Winona Lake; and Terry L. Schultz, 69, South CR 250E, Winona Lake. Miller was backing his vehicle out of a driveway and backed it into Schultz’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 8:01 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, SR 15 south of CR 30, near Goshen. Driver: Travis Mrozinski, 25, North Webster. Mrozinski sustained minor head bleeding and was taken to Goshen Hospital. Mrozinski was fleeing from police and driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree. Mrozinski fled on foot from the vehicle but was apprehended.
