Sri Lanka holds potential, say visiting Globus Vision representatives
Globus Vision has been providing European and American business circles with informative publications on world economies.
The organisation, which was founded in 1997, focuses mainly on countries that are able to offer investment and trade opportunities to readers of America’s and Europe’s most important media houses.
Three representatives of the organisation, Sandrine Steiner, Ara Roberts and Aylin Parla are currently in Sri Lanka to produce a report on the country’s social economy.
Speaking to News 1st’s Shaheen Jurangpathy, project director Steiner noted that so far Sri Lanka’s economic performance within South Asia on trade, finance, tourism have been discussed with multiple business and political leaders.
On his first visit to the country, editorial director Ara Roberts spoke on the lack of information about Sri Lanka, internationally, given as an investment climate or a tourist destination. He noted that it also reflects the investments coming in from the west and on the number of tourists visiting.
Project coordinator Aylin Parla, who is also on her first visit to Sri Lanka, said the country holds a lot of potential and that as more people internationally get to know of Sri Lanka in the future, it will grow to be a much stronger country.
