WARSAW — One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire in Warsaw on Thursday, Nov. 12.
The fire happened shortly before 1 p.m. at 318 S. Lake St., Warsaw. Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to the single-story house fire.
“We had flames on the backside when we got here,” said Battalion Chief Rob Barker.
He said one man was taken to the hospital but “everybody else got out OK.”
“They got it knocked down pretty quickly,” Barker said of firefighters.
He said the house wasn’t a total loss. There was “smoke damage throughout but that’s about it,” he said.
Firefighters were assisted at the scene by Lutheran EMS.
