WARSAW — A Warsaw man was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital after a single-vehicle rollover accident.
At 2:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle accident on East Pierceton Road, east of South CR 400E, Warsaw.
Trent M. Rader, 29, East Pierceton Road, Warsaw, was operating a white 2008 Ford Edge and had just negotiated a left-hand curve while traveling east on Pierceton Road when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason.
This caused Rader’s vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a field, rolling at least three times before coming to rest on its roof.
Rader was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated by Pierceton Fire Department personnel.
A passenger in Rader’s vehicle, Tyler N. Soultz, 25, South 7th Street, Goshen, escaped the vehicle and went to get help for Rader. Soultz complained of shoulder and upper arm pain, but refused treatment.
Rader was taken by Lutheran EMS to a Fort Wayne hospital for significant but unspecified injuries.
Damages are estimated at up to $50,000.
